Ecem Sevim, M.D., is a clinical rheumatology fellow at NIAMS/NIH.
Her primary focus is on the pathogenesis of microvascular thrombosis related to autoimmune/autoinflammatory status. Dr. Sevim is interested in studying antiphospholipid antibodies (aPL) and related clinical manifestations by identifying the molecular and cellular processes in aPL-positive patients that lead to disease manifestations in the view of thrombo-inflammation.
Besides her engagement with rheumatology and research, her interests and hobbies include abstract art, jazz, snowboarding, yoga, and traveling.
