Alejandro Perez, MD, FSVM, RPVI is a vascular medicine specialist on clinical staff at Providence Heart Institute in Portland, OR serving a Medical Director of the Non-Invasive Vascular Laboratory and Vascular Rehabilitation Program. Dr. Perez strives to help patients better understand their vascular health so he can partner with them in a team approach to develop an individualized treatment plan. Following careers in education and science, Dr. Perez found that medicine was a natural progression into a profession that directly helped people. Dr. Perez received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University in Biochemical Sciences. After earning his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, N.Y., he completed his internal medicine internship, residency and vascular medicine fellowship at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. Dr. Perez is board-certified in both vascular medicine and internal medicine and is credentialed to interpret non-invasive vascular ultrasound laboratory studies.
His clinical interests include peripheral arterial disease, venous disease, thrombosis management, wound care and vascular ultrasound. In his free time, Dr. Perez enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He is fluent in Spanish.
